JOB SUMMARY Vaco Technology is currently seeking a Java Software Engineer / Cloud Specialist for a 6M C2H opportunity located in Addison, TX 75001 (hybrid 2-days onsite / 3-days remote). The Java Software Engineer / Cloud Specialist will deploy and configure Enterprise Software with accompanying documentation. The Java Software Engineer / Cloud Specialist will analyze use cases v. requested requirements for validity and feasibility. The Java Software Engineer / Cloud Specialist will collaborate closely with SMEs to ensure that delivered features are adequately tested. The Java Software Engineer / Cloud Specialist will find, report, and track software defects and inconsistencies. The Java Software Engineer / Cloud Specialist will ensure that usable products are delivered to the QA Team. Additionally, the Java Software Engineer / Cloud Specialist will work with SMEs across multiple departments to spearhead process improvements company-wide.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Java Software Engineer (5+ years) - Develop Core Java Enterprise Software / Applications
  • JDBC / RDBMS - SQL Server / Oracle / MySQL / PostgreSQL / NoSQL, etc.
  • WebServices Development - REST API / Spring-Based REST Services / JSON
  • MicroServices Architecture - New Development / Consuming Monolithic Applications
  • Cloud Platform - AWS / Azure / Google Cloud Platform
  • Building DevOps Environments (3+ years) - CI/CD / Jenkins / Docker / Maven / Kubernetes, etc.
  • Scripting Languages - BASH / Ruby / JavaScript / SQL Scripting, etc.
  • Create / Manipulate XML
  • Translate Use Cases / Business Requirements into Functional Specifications
